Post Name:  Financial Accounting Manager

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Annual Budget preparation and revision: Coordinate with team for review of budgets as per donor/Dublin guidelines. Assist CFC for top-level analysis of the budgets as required.

  • Management Accounting, Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting: Produce quality management accounts and reporting for Head Office (HO) and perform an overall review of countrywide books of accounts forwarded by Field office Finance Manager and Country Office Treasury and Accounts Manager.

  • Banking Management: Ensure that bank accounts are maintained as per standard procedures and adequate system in place for accurate forecast of cash requirements. S/he will do final review of cash request and will forward the same to Dublin.  S/he will do final review of the staff payments including monthly payroll and final settlements.

  • NGOAB Financial Management: Work on the NGOAB Financial Management to ensure the fund release timely from the bank and maintaining liaison with the Government Compliance Advisor to ensure the compliance.

  • Training & Staff Management: Provide necessary development support as agreed in Performance Development Review (PDR) process. Support CFC to deliver financial management training/refreshers to Concern staff and potential partner on regular basis.

  • Taxation Reporting, Provident Fund and Gratuity Fund Management: Support CFC to monitor the provident fund and gratuity fund books, and financial record and make sure the books complies with the trust deed. The record must be neat and tidy for the annual audit and ensure compliance of the WHT/Tax laws.

  • Others: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern’s Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.

  • Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
