Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in overall project management tasks including financial, administrative and other management and leadership activities of the project.

  • Provide timely strategic advice on project implementation.

  • Supervise timely financial reporting, budget tracking and resource allocation processes, including donor and internal reporting processes.

  • Coordinate purchase requests and service contracts with team members and World Fish Bangladesh finance personnel.

  • Supervise all arrangements/contracts with partner organizations.

  • Develop a healthy and supportive work environment for all team members, and manage internal conflicts, if required.

  • Ensure scientific & development lessons learned are captured by the organization and used for maximum benefit for the project.

  • Support the Project Manager in identifying and securing new partnerships with key organizations, both public and private.

  • Succeeds in ensuring the project reaches its small-holder income, nutrition and women’s empowerment and other goals as part of inclusive aquaculture sector growth brought about through a market system approach.

  • Ensures the quality of field activities of WF and partner field staff.

  • Ensures the on-time delivery of technical and financial reports to WorldFish, donors and others as needed.

  • Succeeds in delivering timely responses to queries and requests from World Fish senior management and donors.

  • Develops and expands professional networks and partnerships for the IDEA project.

  • Develops a high performing team that exemplifies international best standards with regards to equal rights and discrimination.
